A shared link is a visible copy of board settings. Opening it does not replace the recipient’s saved board.
Give each city a clear role
A board holds up to six distinct cities. Add cities from search, move them into a useful order, and choose a base city. The base gives context to date differences, preview input and the day used for working-hours overlap. Removing the base selects the first remaining city.
Your ordinary board and per-city working hours are saved in this browser on this device. Another browser or device has its own storage. If saving is denied or full, the page explains that the current changes may only last for the session. Opening or editing a shared board follows the separate rules below.
Choose Live or a fixed Preview
Live follows the same current instant in every city. Preview takes a date and local time in the base city, resolves it to an instant, and holds that instant still. A repeated local time needs an explicit occurrence; a nonexistent time needs another input. The 15-minute controls move by elapsed time, so a daylight-saving transition can skip or repeat a local clock label.
Read the Preview label before using the board as a current clock. Back to now returns to Live. The selected instant must fit the supported 1970–2100 local-date range in every city. If an incoming saved board makes a preview incompatible, the page returns to Live and explains the change.
Working hours describe a schedule, not a person’s availability
Each city starts with Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00. Edit weekdays and boundaries for that city. An overnight window is tied to its selected starting weekday and continues into the following day. The overlap compares real intervals within the base city’s selected calendar day; that day may be shorter or longer than 24 hours.
A repeated boundary needs a choice, and a skipped boundary must be corrected. “No shared working hours” means these configured windows do not intersect on that base-city day. It does not account for holidays, someone’s calendar, breaks or whether they are actually at work.
What a shared link includes
A board link contains its ordered city IDs, base city, per-city working hours, display choices and Live or fixed Preview mode. A fixed preview includes its UTC instant; a Live link opens at the recipient’s current time. Relevant choices for repeated working-hour boundaries can travel with the configuration. The link does not include timer or stopwatch sessions, private labels or an account.
The configuration is encoded in the URL, not encrypted. Anyone receiving the link can read and forward it. Its query is sent to the serving infrastructure and can appear in origin or proxy request logs. Do not put confidential schedules into a link you intend to keep private.
Open first, save deliberately
Opening a valid shared link applies it to the current page session. The recipient’s existing local board, working hours and display settings stay untouched. Changes made in shared mode remain session-only until Save shared board is selected. Review the saving notice: unavailable browser storage can prevent a complete save.
Malformed, oversized or unsupported links and unavailable city IDs produce a visible error while preserving the local board. Older supported city-list links are restored with explained defaults. A shared link is a snapshot, not a live collaboration room: later changes in the sender’s browser do not update a previously copied link.
